Terms & Conditions
-
Cancellations within 3 business days of scheduled assignment will
be charged in full. All cancellations should be made in writing
and recieved within the stated time frame (electronic request
system or e-mail is preferred).
-
Travel is charged at either portal-to-portal hourly rates or the
standard per mile rate set by the IRS.
-
Inclement Weather Policy: In the event that facilities are closed
due to inclement weather, the interpreter will not report to work,
and no charges will be assessed for that day. The late
cancellation policy will be suspended in this case only. If
facilities remain open, but an interpreter is unable to report to
work due to severe weather, every effort will be made to find a
substitute interpreter. Hours billed will only reflect the hours
worked.
-
Consumer absence will be treated as a late cancellation for
billing purposes.
-
If an interpreter is sick or otherwise not able to work, a
substitute interpreter will be sought to ensure that no gap in
service occurs. If an interpreter or substitute arrives late or is
not present, hours billed will only reflect the hours worked.
-
Terms: Net 15 days with checks payable to ASL Interpreters, Inc.
-
Fees resulting from third party contracts or billing agencies
(such as eVirginia) will be passed on to the paying client in the
form of a line item charge if procurement is done in this matter.
-
Credit card merchant fees may require a convenience fee.
Rates
Rates vary according to the requirements of the job and will be
provided upon request. Some interpreting requests may require a
team of two or more interpreters.
In fitting with our mission and the RID Code of Professional
Conduct, ASL Interpreters, Inc. reserves the right to recommend that
a Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI) be part of the interpreting team
when the situation dictates a need for one.
